Hungarian Cultural Week in Ghana

A little piece of the Ghanaian culture has been present in Hungary for more than a decade, thanks to Sena Dagadu, one of the country's most popular singers. Besides her solo project, she's the singer of Irie Maffia, one of the most renowned live bands of Hungary, headlining all the major festivals - they had performances in 10 European countries and in the USA as well. Our dream to tighten the bond between the two cultures came true in 2017, when we organized the first Hungarian Cultural Week in Accra, Ghana, with various programs like concerts, movie screenings and activities for children. We are planning for the long term: the aim is to keep alive an annual, special and expandable quality program. In March 2017, the Embassy of Hungary in Accra opened its gates, which helped us in the realization of the event.
